Ford CEO Jim Hackett is looking to the future—and he's betting on design. The Atlantic's Jerry Useem profiles Hackett, diving deep into the former Steelcase executive's passion for user experience-driven strategy. Hackett worked with IDEO in the early 1990s and starting again in 2016 as the new leader of the automotive giant. His human-centered approach—credited in part to the relationship Hackett built with IDEO's David Kelley—is a tenet of Ford's future-facing strategy.
