Learning Experience Design Lead

We are seeking a Talent Lead to join the Learning & Development (L&D) team. L&D is an integrated part of IDEO’s broader Talent team and works closely with Recruiting and HR. We’re looking for a new teammate who will collaborate with us to grow and extend our capabilities, refine our tools and systems, and support our community through designing and delivering learning experiences.

Once here you will

  • Work closely with the Global Director of L&D to help drive and shape the IDEO L&D strategy by identifying, co-designing, and implementing new L&D opportunities, experiments, and programs
  • Integrate diversity, equity & inclusion into L&D programs and approaches through strategic initiatives
  • Foster inclusion and belonging across IDEO through the design & delivery of community-driven L&D programs
  • Be a voice of L&D at IDEO by identifying, curating, and communicating the library of L&D offerings to the community
  • Design and facilitate internal L&D programs, including leadership development and skill-building
  • Collaborate with IDEO Global Talent on initiatives and programs across IDEO
  • Recognize, anticipate, and respond to business-related L&D needs
  • Mentor junior team members

Relevant Experience & Mindset

  • Around 6 years of relevant professional experience in a talent or people-oriented role, preferably with an L&D or performance management lens
  • Demonstrates a constant desire and willingness to learn and embody diversity, equity, and inclusion values and practices 
  • Weaves diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and values into all aspects of professional life
  • Experience in designing content, curriculum, and/or programs, particularly those that address and service the needs of diversity, equity and inclusion in learning moments
  • Experience collaborating with a variety of personalities and work styles
  • Experience creating environments that engage people, thinking about the details and how they ladder up to something transformational 
  • Experience in facilitation, knowing when to use your voice and when to ensure the voices of others are heard and incorporated
  • Be curious and passionate about people and their development
  • Find fulfillment in enabling and supporting others
  • Demonstrate a high degree of tact, diplomacy, judgment, and discretion
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a self care practice, in service of taking care of one’s self to be able to make space for others

A Nice-to-Have: 

  • Completion of, or current enrollment in, a coaching certification program
