IDEO's recruiting team is in search of a new Recruiting Lead to join our global talent team. Recruiters at IDEO make the biggest impact by identifying great talent who complement IDEO's values, and manage the candidate experience while balancing the expectations of hiring managers and stakeholders. Their skillset is critical to our business as they’re ambassadors of the IDEO brand and our candidates.

As a Recruiting Lead, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate, lead and build relationships with various stakeholders, helping to identify and recruit across locations for a variety of disciplines. IDEO is a collaborative and creative work environment, where no two days are alike. Being a member of IDEO’s talent team means you’ll design human-centered recruiting experiences for both Hiring Managers and candidates. 

Once here you will

  • Build relationships and partner with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand the business needs of the team and how a new hire will complement and push our work
  • Manage a full life-cycle recruitment processes including developing and posting a job description, screening questions / criteria for each job, coordination, human centered  candidate correspondence and relationship building, and maintenance of candidate records via our applicant tracking system
  • Proactively develop pipelines including designing, building and maintaining a strong and diverse network of potential candidates
  • Facilitate internal conversations with interview teams to build alignment on must-have skills/attributes before launching a search, and facilitate debrief discussions after interviews to build alignment on next steps
  • Continually contributing to the knowledge base of the group by providing education on industries and talent pools/profiles
  • Manage the delivery of all areas of recruitment process including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, assessment, extending candidate offers, and salary negotiation.
  • Drive the recruiting process forward by problem solving obstacles or challenges that arise and knowing when and how to involve others as necessary
  • Drive consensus among multiple stakeholders to bring hiring issues to a successful conclusion  

Relevant experience, skills, and mindsets that we value:

  • 3-8 years of relevant recruiting experience, your past roles may have been but not limited to in-house, agency, talent team, or HR  
  • Experience operating as a Full-Cycle Recruiter, developing, facilitating, and implementing all phases of the recruitment process
  • Discretion­ and sound judgment in dealing with confidential dialogues and information
  • Facilitation skills to enable fruitful discussions among colleagues and stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic and motivated self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions and has a natural focus on making things happen
  • Effectively manages relationships with peers, recruitment team and other HR partners to create a culture of collaboration
  • Experience developing boolean strings, and executing innovative search techniques to source and engage the passive market and generate a pipeline of candidates 
  • Experience providing strategic guidance and advice in a true partnership with hiring managers, stakeholders and leadership
  • Experience effectively sell the value proposition to candidates
  • Helpful to have an understanding of employment laws and immigration requirements
  • Client-side or consulting experience
