Recruiting Lead

The Role

IDEO is looking for a Recruiting Lead to drive all talent acquisition activities for our business across Europe.  You can be based in either our London or Munich studios.  At IDEO, Recruiters play a very important role as ambassadors of the IDEO brand. They make the biggest impact by identifying and proactively engaging with potential candidates who align with IDEO’s values, building long term relationships with candidates anchored in reciprocity, creating an excellent candidate experience within an equitable hiring process while also managing internal stakeholders in the process, balancing their expectations. 

What it Takes

An empathetic person who enjoys building relationships with people, identifying great talent, and connecting them to suitable roles within an organisation. You are passionate about and have experience in  designing and facilitating an equitable hiring process that places principles of diversity, equity and inclusion at the core. 

You are someone who thrives in a human-centred, collaborative, and creative environment. You know what it takes to drive a human-centred recruiting process end-to-end with an agile approach, and ensure that it is equitable  and balances the expectations of candidates and IDEO’s needs. 

Strong organisational skills are needed to manage and prioritise multiple projects, as well as strong facilitation skills to enable fruitful discussions among internal stakeholders. You are a motivated self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions, can push back when needed, and roll up your sleeves to make things happen. The ability to proactively engage with individuals in a way that builds long term relationships, trust, and credibility is an important skill to have in this role. 

Prior experience in recruiting a breadth of digital and design talent (such as UI/UX, interaction designer, software developer) in fast-moving companies is preferred. Ideally you also bring experience in shaping DEI practices in the recruiting process as well as in designing and implementing an employer brand strategy for an organisation. 

In This Role, You Will

You’ll use your proven track record in recruiting or an adjacent function to:  

  • Design the regional recruitment process for Europe with the ultimate goal to create an excellent candidate experience. 
  • Lead the full life-cycle recruitment process including building pipelines of talent, job postings, coordination of cv flow, diligent correspondence and engagement with candidates and hiring teams, offer negotiation, and onboarding. 
  • Proactively cultivate a strong network of prospective candidates with a focus on increasing the diversity of our talent pool, and leveraging tools (such as our CRM) to develop that network.
  • Support the (re-) design of our regional employer value proposition in alignment with our global EVP.
  • Communicate IDEO’s purpose, work, and employee value proposition to attract individuals who may or may not be familiar with IDEO.
  • Develop and prioritise hiring needs in conjunction with Europe Talent Director and  Europe leadership 
  • Provide and facilitate interview training to our IDEO Europe community.
  • Collaborate with the recruiting teams across all of our other IDEO locations on global recruiting initiatives.
