For more details, check out these projects:

  • Neurometrix Quell: We were asked to design an over-the-counter, drug-free alternative wearable device for chronic pain sufferers.  We created a first-of-its-kind device called Quell, an FDA-approved wearable that provides 100 percent drug-free, widespread relief from chronic pain.
  • Coravin: We were challenged to design a way to pour a glass of wine without opening the bottle.  We created a prototype of a device with a needle that’s inserted into the cork to pour wine without oxidation.

  • 3+ years of experience in product design and development. Experience in Industrial Design a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or Product Design. Master’s in Product Design a plus.
  • Experience creating physical prototypes at varying levels of fidelity: from rough sketches and breadboards to fully functional models.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of mechanisms, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with CAD surfacing and capable of turning a concept sketch into a database ready for manufacturing.
  • Experience in designing products or experiences that have both physical and digital components.
  • Electronic prototyping skills (e.g. arduino) a plus.

Pop quiz:

Please include your answer to the following question in your application.  Bonus points if you include sketches.

What product or experience would you redesign and how would you change it?

Application instructions:
