In a nutshell

IDEO U is in search of an Ecommerce, Associate Product Manager who will help drive conversion (purchase) on IDEOU.com. You’ll help us reach and connect with new and returning learners, help them begin or continue their learning journey, and increase customer lifetime value for the business in the process. This role will support the Senior Growth and Digital Marketing Lead to prioritize and execute improvements for the site. With a heavy focus on project management, you will work collaboratively across teams and with external partners to plan, track and execute improvements.

As a user-centered ecommerce professional, you feel at home identifying and removing friction in purchase funnels by analyzing both quantitative and qualitative puzzle pieces. You thrive at the intersection of business and technology and bring a balance of business acumen and attention to detail to keep projects on track.

Once you are here you will

  • Serve as the project manager for the ideou.com website including scoping, planning, resourcing and executing all updates and new features.
  • Lead projects with multiple stakeholders to execute new features, resolve bugs, and carry out experiments that further growth.
  • Own the IDEO U content management system (Shopify) and fluidly make updates, changes, and enhancements.
  • Be a part of the growth marketing experiments team and own the A/B tests and experiments designed to optimize conversion throughout the website.
  • Work with the Senior Growth and Digital Marketing Lead to manage web development resources helping to balance the strategic growth priority projects with the on-going updates to improve site performance.
  • Collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders including marketers, designers, developers and others.

Relevant Experience

We are looking for someone who has 3-5 years of experience in an ecommerce or product management role.  He/she will:

  • Have leadership capabilities to think strategically but ability to focus on the details. 
  • Take a human-centered approach that balances insights and evidence/data.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced creative environment with a culture of experimentation yet value the need to organize and execute. 
  • Bring experience with an ecommerce platform like Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce or similar.
  • Have a working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Have experience and demonstrated success with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing.
  • Have knowledge of technical SEO best practices and experience executing SEO improvements.
  • Exhibit a comfort with tools and different marketing platforms and a systems thinking approach and ability to see how they all come together to grow the business.
  • Have excellent project management skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Be able to think quickly on your feet, adapt to a highly variable environment, change scope and focus with ease.
