OpenIDEO is in search of a Community Manager to support our open innovation Challenges, online communities, and in-person events. As the team members closest to our participants, our Community Managers work to support the diverse innovators and organizations we engage. Community managers are also responsible for helping evaluate Challenge ideas, developing presentations for client workshops and synthesizing insights from the innovation process. This role requires tremendous communication skills, an ability to think strategically, and a passion for fostering community and supporting social innovation.
Community Managers at OpenIDEO have a unique vantage point in a fast-paced open innovation journey, designing the conditions for inclusive collaboration in both online and offline spaces. Community Managers act as translators, cross-pollinators, activators, and community champions across the OpenIDEO community. This is a great role for someone who is deeply curious, can get lost reading for hours, whose favorite tool is the written word, and thrives in ambiguous, dynamic, fast-paced work environments.

Individuals who will flourish in this role are intrapreneurs possessing deep skills in communications and writing, project management, and client relationship management. We also seek a candidate with a particular emphasis on listening and learning from a broad global community, both online and offline. We are an entrepreneurial team and seek someone who thrives in ambiguity and learns through experimentation.
Bonus points, but not required–if you have visual design skills, especially in adobe creative suite and keynote.
