I’m a graphic designer turned marketer who looks after IDEO’s many digital channels and properties. I work with a world-class marketing team, 700+ IDEO-ers, and our portfolio of clients to create, deliver, and analyze our edgiest and most meaningful stories.

In my other life, I was an amateur competition surfer and NCAA Division I rower—the calluses on my hands for nearly a decade were epic.
Katie Clark is the senior director of growth and digital operations for the global brand team at IDEO. With a background in branding, digital marketing, illustration, and graphic design, she has worked in the marketing and communication design fields for 18+ years and for IDEO since 2003.
Prior to IDEO, Katie spent time at Red Bull, Jacobs Associates, and The Avocado Group, in addition to freelancing for several design studios and publications.
Katie has an MFA from the Academy of Art (graphic design) and a BA in Visual Arts (graphic design and illustration) from Rutgers University.
Outside of IDEO, she is a health blogger and frequently donates her time and design skills to several nonprofits including the Angel Island Conservancy and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. Katie is also a classical pianist, guitarist, surfer, mom, and lover of cheese.
