Becky Bermont is a Partner at IDEO and leads their North American Learning practice, which serves learners at school, at work, and everything in between. She partners with leaders to design learning experiences, organizations, and systems that unlock growth and create opportunities for all. While at IDEO she's worked with Lakeland Community College to make their organization more student-centered, with Bowdoin College to redesign the way they read applications, and with Planned Parenthood to develop a leadership curriculum aligned with their values.
Prior to IDEO, Becky spent six years at the Rhode Island School of Design, leading the marketing and communications group and serving on the leadership team for the College. Before that, she built out a strategy to advance innovation at eBay Inc. through design, and has also lead innovation partnership programs between academia and corporations at the MIT Media Lab and RISD.
Becky has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Psychology from Wesleyan University. She co-authored the book Redesigning Leadership with former RISD president John Maeda, and has been published alongside him in Design Observer and the Harvard Business Review. She enjoys creative direction in the kitchen, though her husband does the cooking.
