Three Webby Honorees for IDEO
The Webby Awards
Two IDEO projects are named Webby Honorees in the 17th Annual Webby Awards, recognizing excellence on the Internet. Sesame Street’s Elmo Calls App was selected in the Best Use of Device Camera category and Sunlight Foundation’s Sitegeist App was recognized in two categories — Best Use of GPS or Location Technology category and Education and Reference category.
MyFord Mobile Wins IxDA Award
IxDA
MyFord Mobile — the smartphone app that helps electric vehicle owners learn smarter driving behaviors — won a 2013 IxDA Award in the “optimizing category.”
Wounded Warrior Selected in AIGA “Justified” Awards
AIGA
The AIGA’s “Justified” Awards highlight design’s impact. Entries were judged based on their design attributes and whether their case for effectiveness was clear, compelling, and accessible. Fast Company's 2012 Innovation By Design Award Finalists

Two IDEO projects have been selected as finalists in Fast Company‘s 2012 Innovation by Design Awards: Future Visions of Synthetic Biology in the concepts category, and the Faraday utility bike in the transportation category. Read more about the finalists on Co.Design.
IDEO Awarded Core77 Design Awards
In the 2012 Core77 Design Awards, electric propelled utility bike Faraday placed runner-up in the transportation category, while IDEO’s work on Future Visions of Synthetic Biology received professional notable in the speculative category.

IDEO and Rock Lobster Cycles win Oregon Manifest Bicycle Challenge
The Oregon Manifest Creative Collaborations Bicycle Challenge has come to a close with the announcement of the People’s Choice winner. Riverside School’s Design for Change contest wins INDEX award
INDEX
Design for Change, a design based school competition which started with the Design for Giving contest in 2009, has won an INDEX award in the work category. Design for Change is the largest global movement designed to give children the opportunity to put their ideas into action.
IDEO also had several INDEX finalists including Lars Hinrichs’ HackFwd, OpenIDEO and AskNature.org. Read more about the 2011 awards here.

IDEO’s work for Bedsider took the win for strategy/research while HackFwd, Steelcase node and Future of the Book were awarded runner up and professional notable awards respectively.

The Webby Awards
OpenIDEO, IDEO’s open innovation platform, and Grover’s Number Special, a Sesame Street iPhone app designed in collaboration with IDEO, both won Webby Awards in the Community and Games-Tablet & All Other categories, respectively.
