Aradhana Goel
About
Aradhana Goel, Director for IDEO India, handles strategic partnerships and program development in the region. She brings deep experience in architecture, urban design, and service innovation to her work. She is dedicated to understanding people’s behaviors, how they collectively influence social patterns, and how these patterns — coupled with technology and business constraints — can inform new products, services, environments, organizations, and systems.
At IDEO, Aradhana has worked with large product and service companies in the United States and India to help them sustain and differentiate themselves as they pursue growth. She collaborates with clients to understand their particular needs, requirements, and capabilities and to identify market opportunities. She has worked with clients in the telecommunications, health care, and financial sectors. Some examples include service organizations such as AT&T, Chicago Transit Authority, and Geisinger Health System. Her current focus is designing for rapidly evolving emerging markets that are value-conscious and require scalable, systems-level solutions.
Prior to IDEO, Aradhana worked as a senior information designer at MAYA, a design consultancy-meets-research lab in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At MAYA, she worked with established companies and institutions, such as Eaton Corporation and the US Postal Service, to transform their traditional, operations-based approaches into customer-centric ones.
Aradhana holds a master’s degree in design technology from MIT and a master’s degree in urban design from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi. She earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from Sushant School of Art and Architecture in Gurgaon, Haryana. Aradhana loves to learn by traveling and immersing herself in other cultures.
