Learning & Development Lead

In a nutshell

We are seeking a Talent Lead to join the Learning & Development (L&D) team. L&D is an integrated part of San Francisco’s broader Talent team and works closely with Recruiting and HR. We’re looking for a new teammate who will collaborate with us to grow and extend our capabilities, refine our tools and systems, and support our community.

Once here you will

  • Promote, implement, and communicate L&D offerings to the SF community
  • Identify, design, and collaborate on new L&D opportunities, experiments, and programs
  • Contribute to the larger L&D strategy and lead on-the-ground projects
  • Facilitate team dynamics conversations and internal L&D programs, including leadership development, skill-building, and new hire orientations
  • Coach IDEOers through career navigation and support leaders in their own coaching development
  • Collaborate with IDEO Global Talent on initiatives and programs across IDEO
  • Integrate diversity, equity & inclusion into L&D programs and approaches
  • Recognize, anticipate, and respond to business-related L&D needs
  • Partner with leadership and guide them in Talent-related decisions
  • Mentor junior team members

Relevant Experience

5-8 years of relevant professional experience in a people-oriented role, preferably with L&D or coaching familiarity within a creative environment.

  • Have experience designing L&D content
  • Be naturally proactive and tenacious about solving problems creatively and quickly
  • Navigate a fast-paced, interruption-prone environment
  • Enjoy and excel at collaborating with a variety of personalities and work styles
  • Demonstrate a high degree of tact, diplomacy, judgment, and discretion
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrive in a highly ambiguous organization
