Temporary Recruiting Coordinator

In a nutshell

The Recruiting team in Chicago is in search of a Temporary Recruiting Coordinator to join us for 6 months, with the potential to join full time. A Recruiting Coordinator will help the Chicago Recruiting team by providing a variety of administrative support and contribute to building an exceptional employee and candidate experience. Strong attention to detail, the ability to problem solve, and the ability to collaborate are all essential to be successful in this role. Most importantly, having a genuine passion for working with people and providing a world class employee and candidate experience is key.

Recruiting Coordinators are critical to our business as they are ambassadors of the IDEO brand and help craft the candidate experience through interactions across the entire recruiting process. In this role, a temporary coordinator will make the biggest impact by being extremely organized and flexible, managing the candidate experience while balancing expectations of hiring managers (the internal team). We count on them to help the team stay on top of things and be two-steps ahead of everyone.

Once you are here you will

  • Be the “front door” for all candidates, crafting their experience through the recruiting process with IDEO
  • Actively connect with other groups throughout IDEO Chicago and IDEO Globally in a way that builds relationships, trust, and credibility
  • Work in collaboration to assist the Recruiting team, maintain organization systems, and proper usage of tools
  • Assist with new hire processing, collaborating with Learning and Development ensuring all paperwork is completed, signed, checked for accuracy and filed appropriately

Relevant experience and mindset 

  • 3-4 years of coordination / heavy scheduling experience
  • Ability to keep track of multiple projects, clients, etc.
  • Works well with ambiguity and is able to make decisions even without all the information
  • Thinks strategically and is able to prioritize
  • Flexible and able to handle unforeseen events/requests with ease and optimism
  • Ability to be creative and innovative in bringing solutions to problems
  • Experience working with confidential information requiring discretion and tact
  • Great time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
