Studio Coordinator, Design for Health Studio

In a nutshell

IDEO San Francisco is in search of a Studio Coordinator with a passion for health to be part of a dynamic and creative team. The Design for Health Studio focuses on impacting health and wellbeing of communities worldwide, from building digital therapeutics to launching innovative programs in underserved communities. Directors and members of the IDEO Health community rely on you for organizational guidance. You assist in the day-to-day coordination activities of the studio, while occasionally juggling helping teams prepare for client workshops, coordinating skills-building seminars, and supporting the team in their business development efforts .

Why is this role important for IDEO’s work?

The Studio Coordinator makes the biggest impact by being extremely organized and flexible. They are critical to our business, because they help the studio be at its best, both helping us to become more efficient and humane. They are the foot on the gas pedal that keeps our studio moving forward.  We count on them to help the team stay on top of things, show up confident, be ready to take on any conversation, and help our teams maintain their client relationships.

Once here you will

  • Be the “front door” for the Design for Health Studio -- fielding requests for meetings and speaker engagements, supporting internal and external marketing, helping manage workflow, creating and maintaining organizational systems, setting up workshops and skills-building sessions, and supporting our design teams to make an impact on health.
  • Be the hub for internal IDEO health knowledge and work -- Actively connect with other groups throughout IDEO San Francisco and IDEO Globally in a way that builds relationships, maintains trust, and shares knowledge across our design community.
  • Be one step ahead-- Help our many leaders to develop and maintain our strategic goals. Help us to prioritize and plan on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis.

What does IDEO offer you?

IDEO is a place unlike any other. It’s a place where you can solve diverse, complex challenges for our clients or the organization, alongside thoughtful, intelligent individuals who lead with curiosity, empathy, and optimism. Sure we work hard, but we also intentionally craft moments that allow our community to pause, create, and connect. We encourage our community to bring their whole selves to work, respect the need for work-life balance, and allow for autonomy in the design process and your career.
