Printed journal and interactive CD-ROM

The American Center for Design, a national organization of design professionals, educators, and students, publishes an annual journal of articles and essays devoted to a design-related theme. The theme of the 1994 journal was Interaction Design and was published as a printed booklet with a companion CD-ROM that provided complementary, interactive illustrations and demonstrations.
This was the first example of a publication devoted to Interaction Design that included both a printed journal and an interactive CD-ROM. IDEO's design allowed the audience to navigate the journal in an appealing, intuitive manner.
