IDEO worked closely with Dell to develop a family of products to provide the most convenient and efficient method of connecting to the corporate network and disconnecting to use the portable away from the office.

By evolving the design language of the very successful Latitude line and adding an integrated monitor stand, base and two easy-attaching docks that provide Dell's first full-featured port replicators. By avoiding the "garage" style of many docking systems, Dell and IDEO positioned the docks to function well into the future, as the next versions of the product grow to embrace new technologies.
