Concept for team work space
As part of their Worklife Chicago showroom, Steelcase used the Globe project to illustrate methods that connected office systems with information technology. The Globe project allows multiple groups to share a team room as they display documents, conduct videoconferences and collaborate on shared information. This information can then be recalled at a later time.
The Globe project uses Steelcase Pathways as a framework for nine displays connected to a prototype user interface. The software allows team members, both in the room and connected remotely, to display, store, and retrieve a variety of data. IDEO’s interaction designers developed a graphic tool to record a meeting’s progress, allowing easy visualization and manipulation of a large array of information.
