Suzanne Gibbs Howard

Suzanne Gibbs Howard is an associate partner and a design director, focusing on human factors and design research. She specializes in finding unique research approaches, synthesizing actionable insights, and using this knowledge to drive design, branding, and business strategies. Suzanne found her way to IDEO via a crooked path involving studies in art history, African studies, cultural anthropology, and the history of religion as well as teaching high school, designing museum exhibits, and being a dot commie. She has enjoyed a wide variety of projects such as the future of news, broadband households, postpartum hospital services and education environments for Generation Y. Currently, Suzanne is focused on collaboration with a strong community of researchers and designers to continually innovate and better articulate IDEO's own human-centered design process.
