Rachel Switzky
About
Rachel Switzky is a senior design strategist and relationship manager who focuses primarily on designing and building digital experiences. She leads multidisciplinary IDEO teams through the project planning process by providing strategic guidance, structuring engagements, and translating client constraints into optimal offerings.
Based in the Palo Alto office, Rachel offers ten years of experience in design consulting for multinational organizations. She has particular expertise in guiding large-scale projects and key client relationships that involve software- and Web-enabled user experiences, complex system design, multiplatform interaction design, and user interface design.
Since joining IDEO, Rachel has served as the client relationship manager for the firm’s AT&T Mobility account. IDEO is AT&T’s strategic design partner, with a pipeline of work that draws upon IDEO designers across the United States. Rachel oversees the projects and provides user-experience leadership and direction for the entire account.
Prior to IDEO, Rachel worked at Avenue A | Razorfish, leading user-experience strategy teams to develop interfaces and information architectures for global clients. Her client list included UBS, SK Telecom, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, and GE Consumer Finance.
Rachel has lectured at design schools in the US and Europe and led workshops for the Information Architecture Institute’s annual IA Summit. She holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in industrial design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
