About

Hailey is a core member of IDEO’s public sector team. She helps IDEO teams empathize with their public sector clients and design for the incredible opportunities and constraints that define innovation in government.

As an organization and systems designer, Hailey has helped the Social Security Administration envision and support new online services for citizens and has developed strategies for workforce attraction and engagement in collaborations with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, General Services Administration and Department of Education.

She discovered the power of design thinking through her work with NGO’s in Latin America, first as a student of international relations and later as a program manager for an international development non-profit. After seeing design thinking help people find innovative and contextually appropriate solutions to local community needs, she sought out the experts to learn more.

Hailey holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Tufts University.
