Message PSS-7 Yamaha wanted to present a compelling musical instrument (not a toy!) that children would immediately understand. The unit’s built-in assortment of sounds, rhythms, and songs are selected without the use of expensive displays or lights. IDEO’s interaction design team used the sounds available in the instrument to provide feedback for choosing options.
