Message Easy Chop Food Chopper One of the most recent designs in IDEO’s continuing relationship with Swiss-owned Zyliss USA, the Easy Chop food chopper was developed by IDEO human factors specialists, designers, and engineers in collaboration with Zyliss. Based on user observations and market research, the Easy Chop food chopper increases usability by accommodating a broader range of users and a wider array of food types. A soft, elastomeric pad (patent pending) enables the chopping of herbs, and skinned vegetables and fruits—effective on even the ripest tomato. The chopper is also the first such design to decouple the blade from the blade guard to allow for easy and thorough cleaning. A lockable top enables compact storage. IDEO has redesigned nearly 30 classic kitchen accessories and tools for improved ergonomics and functionality.
